What do you want – Gotye

Which one do you prefer? This?

Or this one?

The fact is that number 1 is the official video of the song What Do You Want of Gotye, the australian singer that got famous thanks to the song Somebody That I Used t Know. And number 2 is the video that Jacob Simkin and I made for him in 2007 before he became so famous. Unfortunately Wally decided that it wasn’t exactly what he was looking for. Anyway, I’m very proud of having taken part of such a production. Gotye is the soundtrack of my most happy moments in Australia. Thank you Wally.

The Clock 2

Last night was the celebration of the Nuit Blanche de Montréal. It’s the closing event of the Festival Montréal en Lumière. For a moment I forgot I was in the cold  canadian winter with silent, white and empty streets. In this special night, the city of Montreal wakes up and opens the doors of their most recognized museums and galleries to share all the culture and art with the public. There was too much to see and I had limited time to see everything, I wanted to see la crème de la crème. A coincidence made me stay in the best place I could ever be: the 24-hour screening of the film The Clock of Christian Marclay.

The Clock (2010) is a movie made entirely from other movies in which the showed screen time corresponds precisely to the actual time of the screening with plenty of clock  shots in each scene. A mind-blowing experience and winner of The Golden Lion!

I highly recommend to spend at least a couple of hours to have this new experience. This is the link to the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal with all the informations.

And here is a quick link where I tested my dancing skills during the Festival Montréal en Lumière. Enjoy it!

Next destination: Amsterdam

My time in Brazil is getting to an end. It has been a wonderful time of personal development, all types of experiences and huge discoveries. Now it’s time to get ready to go back to one of my homes: The Netherlands. So far I lived in Delft and Rotterdam but lately I’ve been seriously thinking about finally experience Amsterdam. Yesterday I surprisingly run into this graffity in the streets of Rio. Does this have a meaning?
